    Is familiar with central features of academic writing, with a specific focus on writing in Economics, including:
    - knowledge of the standard components of and structure of scientific papers in Economics.
    - familiarity with basic tools for critically reviewing summarizing and citing work in Economics - both empirical and theoretical.

    • This document presents a bullet point list of the "canonical introduction" of a theory paper in Economics, written by Simon Board and Moritz Meyer-ter-Vehn, and a generalized version of this list that can be applied to empirical papers, as well as theses in Economics.
