    Exam format

    • This is a closed book exam. You cannot bring materials like notes or books to the exam.
    • A simple calculator (nelilaskin, funktiolaskin) is allowed but not required.
    • The exam consists of 10 questions.
    • You must provide your answer within the dedicated space on a page. Do not utilize the backside of a page or additional sheets.

    Grading

    • Each question is worth maximum 5 points. Total maximum is 50 points.
    • Minimum for passing is 25 points.
    • Grading focuses on conceptual understanding. In numerical tasks, minor errors are not penalized, as long the general approach is correct.
    • Please note that fabricated answers – that is, fishing points by generating answers that are blatantly false or might in real life have damaging consequences – will be penalized.

    Tips

    • Monitor your time use.
    • Try to cover all questions you know you can answer.
    • Focus on clear, concise presentation.
    • We recommend sketching each answer on a separate piece of paper before committing them on this sheet.
    • Ensure that your handwriting is legible.
