Topic outline

  • This is the final week of the course, in which you will now present once more in front of your fellow classmates and the teacher. This presentation will be graded out of 40 points using the grading criteria listed on the front page. The final presentation constitutes 40% of your final grade for this course.

N.B. If there are three students or less in one practice session, then two might be merged into one (for the same day). The times might then be extended for the afternoon session depending on the participants' preference.

You'll see the order of presenters and their Q&A partners in the Final presentations scheduler.

After the final presentation session, in addition to adding your peer feedback to the designated forum, you have one more assignment (Assignment 11). You are asked to reflect on your initial expectations and learning goals for this course, the actual process of building the talk and what you ended up learning. Finally, you are asked to pause to give feedback on this course for development purposes.

      • Please post your final slides here before the final presentation (at least a day or more in advance) for the instructor to use for note-taking during your final practice.

      • As long as your presentation topic has remained the same, you may edit your slides as much as you wish if you feel it will improve your communication.
      • You will also receive your points (out of 40) for your final presentation through this same assignment box. The rubric used by the instructor for this assignment is also viewable in advance.
