Course Work Load in Brief
Note that the majority of the hours below is intended four independent studies, or group work with your peers -- as typical in university level studies -- and only a minority is related so called contact teaching.
The total workload of the course (133 hours, 5 cr) will be divided into 10 weeks (roughly 12 hours per week) as follows:
- Lectures (1.5 hours per week = 11%)
- Self studies of the lecture material (1.5 hours per week = 11%)
- Home exercises (1.5 + 4 hours per week = 41%)
- Computer exercises (1.5 + 2 hours per week = 26%)
The rest of the hours is dedicated for the final examination (4 + 9 hours).
These hours should guarantee for a student with average presequities (grade 3) middle range learning outcomes (with the average grade 3).
We have a two weeks break in the middle of the course: week 7 is dedicated for possible examinations; week 8 is dedicated for skiing.
