LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students will be able to advance the editing of their documentary film projects with the support and guidance of faculty and visiting filmmakers.

Students will be able to analyze, evaluate and assess constructive feedback on their documentary film material and rough cuts.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    A workshop course focused on the process of editing students’ documentary film projects. During the course, the students will work mostly independently on the editing of their current documentary film projects. The course will offer guidance, support and structured feedback sessions on the students’ progress. Students will need to have a documentary project in the editing phase to attend and benefit from this course. Special content could be devised to support students work during the course.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Passing the course requires attendance, active participation and the successful completion of the course assignments.

Workload
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    At least 80% participation in face-to-face teaching is mandatory to complete the course. If, due to absences, the student does not achieve the learning outcomes defined in the course description, the remaining 20% may have to be compensated as determined by the responsible teachers of the course. All absences must be reported to the teachers in charge. The responsible teachers of the course will specify the necessary compensating assignments.
