Now it is time to create an outline for your talk. In this outline, you will write out the introduction and conclusion in full. Pay special attention to the attention getter in the beginning and also to the way you will conclude the talk. Remember to also include the transitions that you intend to say when moving on to a new main point and slide. The main parts of the body can be listed out (i.e. not elaborated in full).
Use the outline template below, replacing the text with your own answers and ideas. (The "Pattern" should be the Problem-Solution pattern) Remember, this doesn't have to be a perfect plan: it's just designed to get you to think carefully about key elements of your talk. You can refine it after the practice session.
You will need slides (e.g. Powerpoint) for your practice and final talks.
