SCI Master's Thesis Guide 2024

1. Get oriented

• Find a supervisor, topic and advisor.
• Fill in basic starting information in MyStudies. 

2. Start the collaboration officially

• Apply for supervisor, topic and advisor approval in MyStudies. 

3. Work on thesis

• Collaborate actively: it is recommended but voluntary to create a supervisor agreement (supervisor agreement template will be updated here soon). 
• Complete the maturity essay. 
• Complete the thesis presentation. 

4. Finalize & submit thesis for evaluation

• When you have done the maturity essay, thesis presentation, finalized your thesis, and discussed the submission with the supervisor, submit the thesis for evaluation in MyStudies according to the deadlines.

5. After submitting the thesis

• When you have completed the thesis presentation and maturity essay and submitted your thesis to MyStudies, you can submit a graduation request in Sisu according to the instructions and deadlines.
• After submitting your thesis for evaluation in MyStudies and graduation request in Sisu, you will receive an e-mail with information about graduation, link to the TEK Graduate Survey and an invitation to participate in the Graduation Party.
