From the course book:

  • Chapters 2–6: Neurons, Glia, Membrane, Action potential, Synaptic Transmission & Neurotransmitter systems
  • Chapter 7: Anatomy (to the extent that it was covered in the exercises)
  • Chapters 9–10: Eye & Visual system
  • Chapter 11: Auditory system (vestibular system is not required except for
    knowing what this concept means)
  • Chapter 13: Spinal control of movement (excitation-contraction coupling is not required)
  • Chapter 14: Brain control of movement
  • Chapter 15: Chemical control of the brain and behavior
  • Chapter 22: Mental illness
  • Chapter 23: Wiring the brain

  • If you have time, you can of course learn more by reading also remaining chapters of the book.
