Safety

Do not lean on the base of printing platen.
Do not put your hands inside of the printer.
 
ONLY STAFF CAN GIVE THE INDUCTION FOR USING THE DTG -PRINTER.

Monitor the operation of device to detect possible defects. Always report defects to the staff, do not try to fix them yourself.

If device has damaged, report it to the workshop master or email: soft-materials@aalto.fi. Write as clearly as possible, how the fault occurs. Inform also others that devices is on malfunction.

Get to know the safety data sheet of EPSON printer inks and auxiliaries. You find them next to the printer.

Booking and using
  • use of the device must be related to studies or research
  • induction has to be completed prior using the printer
  • book time by e-mail with workshop master, inform name of the related course and time request
  • available times for booking:
mo 13-16, tu-th 9.15-12, 13-16, fr 9.15-12, 13-15.30

Induction

To use the printer this is INDUCTION needs to be COMPLETED
contact workshop master: eeva.heikkinen@aalto.fi to book a printing time

  • inform the related course and who is your supervisor/lecturer
    • lecturer will inform the workshop master in advance if your print is paid by the course or project of department
    • mark down your print on your own material sheet or to the courses or projects material sheet
  • pay your prints directly after printing or at the specific payment days (usually at the end of periods and terms) by card to softmaterials workshop masters

Price

Mark down your prints on the folder at the printing workshop / dye lab P003 to your own material purchase sheet. Pay at the end of period or at the end of project.

If expenses has approved to be included on the specific course and if teacher advice you so there will be material sheet also for courses where you can mark your prints down. Check the prices for that too.
