The SELECT iPoY project is a student organized and run project that encapsulates the contents of the MSc programme as a whole.

Your study success in the context of the course will, among other things, be assessed based on your:
  • Own independent skills, technical as well as related to business and entrepreneurial aspects

  • Your skills and approaches in proposing sustainable solutions

  • Your ability to work effectively in the team

  • Your ability to take own initiatives in the context of your particular “role” within the iPoY

  • Communication skills (verbal as well as oral).

  • You are expected to take charge in documenting your deliverables (remember, it is not only the time you spend on a task that counts, but the quality of your deliverable).

    SUPERVISORS

During the iPoY, you may work with several supervisors:
    • Industrial/NGO supervisors – to be identified by the student group during the proposal phase
    • Local supervisors per “Year 2”-location and/or per team (to be established by the iPoY Board).

The local academic supervisor will be the “daily” coaches to the project, for example by being available for weekly or bi-weekly meetings, bring students in contact with local industry of relevance to the particular task, and by reviewing and giving feedback on verbal as well as oral presentation material.

    Learning Outcomes:
    • Describe and discuss the structure and impact of energy systems and further develop energy systems
    • Analyze the interplay between energy systems and sustainability
    • Demonstrate the ability to lead business discussions at advanced level
