Oral exam
We will schedule 45min oral exams over Zoom for everyone. The course grading is based on exercises, but an adjustment of up to 15% may be made based on the oral exam.
In the oral exam, you are asked to explain (1) your own solution to a randomly selected problem from the exercises and (2) the main result and idea of a randomly selected chapter of the lecture notes. The goal in both is to clearly communicate the idea, starting from the relevant definitions.
Please have some way of writing mathematics available at the time of the oral exam, e.g., a screen share of something where you can hand-write or type mathematical formulas. The Zoom whiteboard is one easy option, but it can be quite clumsy for this purpose, especially if one tries writing formulas using a mouse.
