This module was something a little different: Instead of the usual essay based on reference literature, this time you were asked to write a memorandum to your imaginary boss at the office. Many of seemed to like the task, and Mr Flex received many excellent memos discussing why or why not he should outsource company's development to China.

However, the was one huge issue coming up over and over again: discussing the obvious cost savings as the single only benefit for outsourcing. It is vital to remember that this is far from the only possible benefit: Chinese market for software is huge, and by outsourcing you may gain better access to it. Additionally, there may be some specialized development talent there that is simply not available in Finland.
