CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Course in collaboration with Theater Academy acting students. This 2 week intensive workshop concentrates on directors’ and actors collaborative work in creating characters and scenes for camera. Directors and actors work together on scenes with teachers, a professional director and an actor. The students do quick scene exercises, examine characters and scene structures as well as observe how good communication and trust are built in a collaborative work relationship. The scene rehearsals are shot with light camera equipment (among participants), and they are watched and discussed together.

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Participation in text analyses, acting exercises and / or improvisations. Reading of the given material, active participation in analyses, discussions, breakdown and feedback.

Workload
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Pratice based intensive workshop that requires presence in teaching. Teaching concentrates on discussions, sharing perceptions, observations and interactive presence. Group work, collaborative learning and learning by observing others.

    Contact teaching 50h, group work 31h.

    The course follows the attendance practices of the Theater Academy.
    Acceptable completion of the course requires 100% participation in contact teaching and doing exercises.
