LEARNING OUTCOMES

After the course the student:

  • understands (has a good knowledge of) the role of Real Estates and Cities in the mitigation of climate change and other sustainability challenges. Similarly, understands the economic implication and opportunities of sustainable Real Estate
  • can identify and compare management models and sustainability indicators used in Real Esate
  • can evaluate (critically analyse) the significance of long-term strategic management and distinguish and classify the sustainability challenges associated with Real Estate and Cities

Content

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:

    Lectures, exercises and exam. The assessment methods and criteria will be defined in course syllabus. Preliminary and subject to change.

  • Applies in this implementation:

    • Exam: 50%, 
    • group work (5 assignments in total): 40%
    • lecture activity (contribution to the discussion): 10%. 

    The lecture activity is included in the grading to encourage an active and constructive dialogue during the lectures. 

    The student's lecture activity on each lecture is graded on a scale from 0 to 2, where:

    • 0 = no (or limited) contribution, 
    • 1 = some contribution, e.g. a couple of comments, questions or opinions
    • 2= significant contribution, e.g. a very insightful or well-reasoned question, opinion or comment, OR multiple good-
    • quality questions, comments, or opinions. 

    Note! Participating in all five lectures is compulsory. The student must demonstrate their participation during each lecture. In case a student is not able to participate a lecture, an additional assignment is required for each missed lecture. The instructions for the additional assignment to cover up for an absence may be found under the "Assignments" section.



Workload
