CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content
  • Applies in this implementation:

    The aim of the course is that the students would get both 

    • a generic idea of the multiple possibilities of the new technologies used in the financial sector, and to 
    • a basic understanding of some of these technologies

    The topics are: Fintech, Cryptocurrencies, High-frequncy trading, Machine-Learning, Cybersecurity, and Quantum computing. 

    Please note: As each topic will be considered during one lecture of 90 minutes, we cannot go very deep in the details of any technology. This is not a course for someone who wants to study thoroughly any of the technologies mentioned above.

    1 credit version: a lecture diary (6 one-pagers)

    3 credit version: a lecture diary (6 one-pagers) and an essay on a freely chosen topic

    5-6 credit version: a lecture diary (6 one-pagers), an essay on a freely chosen topic, and a Machine learningn assignment
