LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
Recognize and use basic lighting laws and theories in calculations
Distinguish between lighting quantities, respective units and symbols
Recognise the main operational principles of light measurement instruments
Operate light measurement instruments
Recognize and compare the different type of light sources, their characteristics, performances and operational principles
Apply the fundamentals of colorimetry to evaluate lighting installations and light sources
Demonstrate the influence of light on vision and visual performance
Analyse and differentiate the basic technical aspects of lamps, luminaires and system designing
Use lighting design software
