CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    The core contents are energy metabolism, glycolysis, glycogen metabolism, signal transduction, transport through membranes, citric acid cycle, electron transport and oxidative phosphorylation, alternate pathways of carbohydrate metabolism, photosynthesis, synthesis and degradation of lipids metabolism, amino acid metabolism, energy metabolis. Examples of enzyme function and modification. Applications for bioenergy and bioproducts.

Workload

    Majority of workload is in period I (ca. 100 h). Period II focusses on assessment + review (35 h).
