Content

The core focus of Studio A is to develop the student's personal relationship towards making art. The keyword for the course is "I". The student concentrates on assembling a personal set of artistic and technical skills through learning-by-doing. Two and three dimensional, as well as time-based concepts are investigated through short exercises using observation, experience, and memory. The familiar is juxtaposed with novel and provocative concepts. The student is challenged to consider contemporary art's relationship with art history and tradition.
