    Bright and hardworking students enter the workforce with high aspirations but uncertainty about how to position their careers in a rapidly transforming business environment. This course gives you a framework for thinking analytically about societal and organizational trends such as the gig economy, digitization, and diversity, and how they change the work you ll encounter in business and nonprofit organizations. We ll become familiar with emerging organizational structures and business processes, how people in the contemporary world of work advance their careers, and to how use management theories to develop your capabilities a manager. Understanding this helps us figure out what organizations we d like to work for, the type of professional we would like to become, and strategies for becoming a manager prepared for the present and future of work.
