This year course will focus on 5 macro themes that have appeared in the curatorial discourse in the past few decades. We will look at activism, participation and relationality, climate crisis, technology and postcoloniality to explore how these topics have entered the realm of the curatorial.

We will look at a range of theories, philosophies, and articulated positions from which curatorial approaches can be constructed. We will examine exhibitions and engage with the 5 macro-themes in a critical exploration to understand how and if these topics are still relevant today and what they can offer to build frameworks for future curatorial projects and approaches.
