LEARNING OUTCOMES

The purpose of this course is to familiarize students on production of a portfolio of images with digital fine art printing methods. Subject of this course is to examine relationships of technical and artistic choices, materials, techniques and workflow options.

Aim is to produce a series of fine art quality inkjet prints. Which are presented as artist portfolio.

    Learning Outcomes: The purpose of this course is to familiarize students on production of a portfolio of images with digital fine art printing methods. Subject of this course is to examine relationships of technical and artistic choices, materials, techniques and workflow options.

    Prerequisites: 

    • It is required to have existing basic skills of Adobe Photoshop software.
    • Participant needs to have own photographic material(files).
    • Image files: Digital negatives(Raw files).
    • Or film material scanned to 3f format. 

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Typical ways of working are lectures, group discussions and hands-on work and practice. Methods vary from workshop to workshop.

    The course is evaluated as pass/fail.

    The student will pass the course by 

    1) active participation in (minimum 80% of) the course meetings and 

    2) completing all assignments.
