LEARNING OUTCOMES
Student will learn the wood material cycle from forests to material and further to cascading of
recyclable material. Student will also understand the value of wood and consider the other values
of forests as part of material use planning. Student will understand the basic principles, present
challenges and possibilities of wood cascading in circular enocomy. Student will learn to apply this
information to sustainable design process and to produce a ready object usign recycled materials
in multidisciplinary teams.

Content

In the course the student will get the basic knowledge of wood material cycle from forests to
cascading of the used material. Students will learn about the available and arising possibilities of
the wood material re-use, and design and make an object usign recycled wood. Students will
work in collaboration and learn from different backgrounds. The objects will be exhibited at 2022.
The course is part of Waste Wood for Good nordic collaboration.
