LEARNING OUTCOMES
Foundations of Solid Mechanics is one of the primary subjects for civil engineering and mechanical engineering. As a branch of mechanics, Foundations of Solid Mechanics is a basic subject for structural analysis and design deals with loads, deformations and the forces acting on the members. This course provides a conceptual introduction to stress and strain, bending, shear and torsion, and intends to make the students understand the rudimentary knowledge of structural analysis and design.
