Upon completing the course, you will be able to do the following things in Chinese:
- Communicate with people using a variety of vocabulary and key grammatical structures
- Understand everyday texts
- Be able to write longer texts and exchange emails
- Know the fundamental elements of grammar and grammatical structures
- Understand about 200 new characters
In addition, by completing this course, you can demonstrate that you have the compulsory foreign language skills required for your degree.

Content

Reviewing and deepening knowledge of Chinese grammatical structures, expanding vocabulary, discussing current events, writing various kinds of texts, giving presentations. The themes include work life, studies, and Chinese cultures.
Assessment Methods and Criteria

- Lectures 24 h and self-study 57 h, active participation. Passing the course requires 75 % attendance in class.
- Group work, oral and written assignments (40 %)
- Oral exam (20 %)
- Written exam (40 %)
