Upon completing the course, you will be able to do the following things in Chinese:

- Ask and tell directions and discuss health and other subjects of interest
- Write longer texts and exchange emails
- Do independent research
- Understand and use about 150 new characters

Content

  Expanding Chinese vocabulary, revising and increasing grammar, plenty of oral exercises, listening comprehension exercises and writing assignments, deepening knowledge of Chinese culture.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

• valid for whole curriculum period:

  1. Lectures 36 h and self-study 45 h, active participation. Passing the course requires 75% attendance in class.
  2. Group work, oral and written assignments (40%)
  3. Oral exam (20%)
  4. Written exam (40%)
