LEARNING OUTCOMES
Students will learn to explain basic principles of casting technology. They will also learn to use the relations between design and manufacturing processes of casting, cast materials, casting design principles, casting simulation and how the process parts interact to determine the properties of what is required to create the high quality cast component.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

Students write an essay on the topics covered on the lectures and literature (50 %) and design/laboratory assignments (50 %). No exam.
