Content

The course consists of practice-led studio work and is to be taken in combination with fashion design courses. Students explore 3-dimensionality of garments and shape on the body and deepen their skills in expression through shape. They practice advanced garment shaping methods and explore in detail the synthesis of shape, construction and material. Students learn to transform patterns from 3D to 2D and to develop designs parallel in physical & digital space, using Clo3D software and related applications. The course assignment can be combined with the assignment of Advanced Printed Fabrics and Finishes Workshop, Advanced Knits and Knitwear Workshop and/or Advanced Workshop Project.
Assessment Methods and Criteria

The final grade for the course is based on students' attendance and participation in contact teaching as well as group work and the assignments completed during the course. Students must attend and actively participate in at least 80% of the contact teachings. Introductory session is mandatory.
