CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    The course will be arranged as a seminar with introductory lectures. The main contents will deal with wind power in the energy system with specific topics on relevant themes. In broad terms these could include the following (but not limited to these):

    Wind power technology, wind power production, life-cycle of wind projects, large-scale wind power, integration and interfacing with grid, wind power in the electricity market, offshore wind power, measurement technology, wind power projects - production estimates and environmental analyses, technology trends; use of modelling tools.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    80% participation rate in the seminar

    preparing and presenting a 1-h seminar lecture with adequate depth

    acting as opponent to one presentation

    delivery of written seminar lecture

Workload
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    The course will include introductory lectures and seminar-type of study in which students will prepare a lecture on a topic including functioning as opponent for one lecture.

    Lectures 6-8h, homework 80h, own lecture presentation, opponenting, and participation in the seminar 25h. Written version of the seminar lecture 25h.
