LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students will be able to examine the creative methods and filmmaking approaches of renowned visiting documentary filmmakers.   

Students will be able to create documentary film exercises applying the cinematic approaches explored in the course.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    A workshop style course that will give students the opportunity to learn and practice filmmaking skills, be introduced to cinematic approaches and reflect upon their own artistic development with the guidance of experienced filmmakers.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Active participation, lectures, workshop work and the completion of film assignment.  

Workload

    The course includes masterclasses with visiting filmmaker, film screenings, discussions, and independent study time in which students will carry out a practical film exercise. 

    Lectures (ratio 1:1): 41 hours (max)

    Independent Studies/Workshop (ratio 1:2): 40 hours (máx)

    Total: 81 hours.
