LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students will be able to apply diverse developing tools to successfully taker their projects from film idea to film proposal.

Students will be able to present their documentary projects both in writing and in oral presentations (i.e. pitching) to peers and faculty.  

Students will be able to create documentary film proposals following industry standards.

Content

    During this course students will bring a documentary film idea that they will develop, present and write. The course will explore the special features of documentary film idea development, screenwriting and preliminary research, as well as different ways of understanding and presenting a screenplay in documentary film.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Participation in the course, developing a documentary film idea and creating a documentary project proposal.
