Content

Theory, Art and Artistic Practices 1 provides students with a basic understanding of practice-led research, research through artistic practices and makers’ theories. Students will familiarize with critical perspectives related to the film medium and some of its conventions. Students will be encouraged to critically reflect upon their own practice and start identifying areas of interest for their MA thesis work.
Assessment Methods and Criteria

Completion of the course requires active participation in class activities and completion of an essay assignment.
Workload

The course will be delivered through lecture by faculty and visitors, film screenings, independent study and discussions.
Lectures (1:1 ratio) = 27,5 hours (max)
Independent study (1:2) = 26,5 hours (max)
