LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Understand the basic principles and applications of contemporary analytics methods  – the difference between and advantages of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive data
  • Identify central people questions and problems that can be addressed using available data 
  • Select, build and apply a suitable analytics method for a given question / problem 
  • Define the data requirements for a given analytics method
  • Understand the contextuality of the given problem and thus the data required /what is meaningful data
  • Define and understand the central ethical questions that need to be considered 
  • Evaluate the business benefits of a given people analytics solution

Content

    The course provides an overview of people data analytics toolbox (specifics TBC) including topics from all types of analytics: descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive. The details and key issues associated with collecting, interpreting, and making conclusions based on people data are discussed, reflected and also hands on worked at. The main legal and ethical issues that need to be considered with different types of people data form a backbone for all analysis discussed during the course.
