After completing the Summer School students are able to create future oriented solutions in a collaborative settings; combine creativity, curiosity, continuous renewal with analytical skills and practice; understand how to lead complex processes with emphaty, creativity, critical thinking and research-founded reasoning and display the skills and attitude to co-innovative, co-operate and communicate with various stake-holders.

    Aalto ARTS Summer school is part of the strategy work of Aalto University and it aims to enhance the knowledge how to use collaboration and radical creativity between the creative fields. The course aims to build international bridges and new collaboration and understanding in the fields of art, design, media and architecture. The aim is to invite international students to Aalto University to learn skills how to collaboratively solve the big challenges of our time. The online learning option will also be developed. The more specific theme for the course will be developed each year separately.

    Universities which are included in this collaboration are: Parsons School of Design (The New School), Politecnico di Milano, Delft University of Technology, Singapore University of Technology and Design, The Oslo School of Architecture and Design and Tecnologico de Monterrey.

    Each summer school partner school chooses five students to the course based on their own criterion. ARTS students will be selected based on their portfolio (max 5 pages) and motivation letter (1 page, maximum 400 words). Maximum amount of students is 40.
