Content

The Art + Media Studio course is where you dedicate time and space for a larger project either individually or in a group. The thematics of the projects may vary year to year, from self initiated work to collaboration with an organization, company, or community.
Your task is to plan and execute a large-scale art, design, or research project, where learning goals are set both individually as well as on a common trajectory with your group. Background research in both theory and praxis, as well as documentation are an important part of the process. Individual feedback sessions, milestone presentations, peer discussions and readings provide structure for your work.
The final results of all the studio groups are presented in a joint exhibition, publications and events.
Assessment Methods and Criteria

Minimum 80% attendance. The assessment is a synthesis of your process, required milestones submitted on time, and the final outcome and documentation of the project. More details can be found on the course's MyCourse site.
Workload

Participation in the course. Minimum 80% attendance.
Shared lectures and meetings, studio teaching, project-based work independently and in small groups.
The course is divided into common lectures and sessions for all the participating students and smaller groups where students work around a specific topic or theme.
9 ECTS ≈ 240h
- Contact teaching: ~80h (please note that the contact teaching hours have small differences depending on the varying teaching methods used in the different study groups)
- Independent study, including time to think and reflect: ~160h
