LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completing the course, you will:
- Be able to engage in conversations on workplace topics and at formal occasions
- Be able to describe specific work-related topics and give presentations on them
- Write better and more accurate texts
- Possess a deep understanding of traditional and modern Chinese culture, values, and society
- Have enhanced your listening comprehension skills
- Be able to pass the HSK test at level 3 or level 4

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    Speaking and reading on workspace-related topics. The topics include company introductions, work plans, business meetings, office supplies, etc. (The topics are partially tailored to the learners’ needs).

Assessment Methods and Criteria

  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    1. Lectures 24 h and self-study 57 h, active participation. Passing the course requires 75 % attendance in class.
    2. Group work, oral and written assignments (70 %)
    3. Presentation (10 %)
    4. Oral exam (20 %)
