The course expands knowledge and understanding of sound in animation. The students know how different components of sound express animation story, place and character.

    The course explores the theory and practise of animation sound, and how the different sound components express story and characters in animated films.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Reading materials, lectures, film screenings, discussions and deconstructing the soundtrack. Hands-on practical approach focuses on creating innovative animation soundtrack. The students attend a specific Foley-sound workshop. Active participation in the organized teaching. Performing the given assignments according to instructions and within given timeframes. Supporting peer learning.
