CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD
Content
valid for whole curriculum period:
This course is an introduction to transition metal-mediated organic chemistry. Student will be familiar with the reaction mechanism related to Organometallic chemistry. Student will have understanding of different properties that certain organometallic complexes have: Electron count, basicity, electrophility/nucleophilicity, ligand strength/exchange and their industrial use). The main focus will be in homogeneous catalytic systems that are currently used in both academia and industry. Emphasis will also be given to the understanding of properties of organometallic complexes and their interaction with substrates.
