LEARNING OUTCOMES
After the course, the students will be able to:
- explain the theory behind classical numerical methods (for example: LU factorisation, Newton-Raphson method etc)
- use Matlab as a tool to solve, analyse and visualise computational problems and data.
- program some of the fundamental numerical methods.
- reflect on the validity and accuracy of numerical predictions.
