Content

Visits to operating hard rock mines and mining equipment manufacturers. Operation processes are studied and compared.
Assessment Methods and Criteria
valid for whole curriculum period:
Students prepare and present reports on selected subjects after the tour. The reports are prepared in group. Each one will prepare an indivual chpater and each will get an individual grade. The weighting of the grading is:
- Overall appearance of the report. Focus is on the joint chapters.
- Individual report chapter
- Presentation
- Quality of Internal assessment report and overall activity during the excursion and during reporting.
Workload

Lectures at visiting sites 15 h. Guided visits in mines 15 h. Preparation of reports 20 h. Presentations 4 h.
