LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Identify basic road and pavement materials and relevant parameters.
- Explain the concept of pavement environment, moisture, and temperature regimes in pavement structures and their effect, particularly under frost.
- Assess pavement performance in cold regions by classifying distresses in pavements, identifying their formation mechanisms, and proposing management and remediation.
- Design a flexible and rigid pavement structure by applying appropriate material, traffic, environment, and other relevant.
- Discuss and professionally present technical and research topics on road and pavement design and materials.
