CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD
Content

The course offers a deeper level of learning about maintenance, repair, and residual service life
evaluation of structures. Some contents covered in this course include
• Maintenance of structures
• Demolition and strengthening of structures
• Corrosion protection of reinforced concrete structures
• Repair methods for steel and concrete structures
• Analysis and evaluation of the residual service life of structures.
By passing the course, students can recognize the fundamental and some special issues in
structural repair and maintenance and can successfully deepen their studies through
professional training and/or a master's thesis related to structural engineering.
Assessment Methods and Criteria

Assessment will be conducted, taking into account the group project, assignment report, presentation, and the final exam. Additional information will be provided in the syllabus.
Workload
valid for whole curriculum period:
The student workload encompasses attending lectures, site visit to the assignment case, composing reports on repair measures and residual service life, preparing seminar presentations, and engaging in individual work. Further details will be provided in the syllabus.
