LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- Recognize and use basic lighting laws and theories in calculations
- Distinguish between lighting quantities, their respective units and symbols
- Recognise the main operational principles of light measuring instruments
- Operate light measuring instruments effectively
- Recognize and compare the different type of light sources, their characteristics, performances and operational principles
- Apply the fundamentals of colorimetry to evaluate lighting installations and light sources
- Demonstrate the influence of light on vision and visual performance
- Analyse and differentiate the basic technical aspects of lamps, luminaires and system designing
- Utilize lighting design software competently
