Content

The course covers an understanding of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, along with documentation, change planning, and implementation of AIS/ERPs. Students learn about risk management, fraud detection, and internal control approaches suited for digitalized business environments. Furthermore, students learn about backend databases, the use of SQL for fetching data, and the application of some analytics techniques suited for accounting and controlling purposes.

INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENTS: Hands-On Practice assignments - SQL & Database (Individual) (35%); Individual Assignments - Applying SQL, Analytics, and Database knowledge (Individual) (5%)
GROUP ASSIGNMENTS: Group Case assignments & ERP reflections (Group) (30%)
EXAM – Take-home assignment (individual) (30%)
