Content

    This seminar course focuses on exploring director’s profession as an artistic leader and as part of the artistic team. The course is based on lectures, case-studies and discussions.

    The course consist of multiple teaching methods: for example lectures, group discussions, presentations, text analyses, writing assignments, independent and group work, excursion. Requires presence in contact sessions and independent work.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Required attendance in contact teaching, group sessions and accomplishment of independent work assignments. Course performance is assessed according to active participation in lectures, discussions, feedback, screenings and visits. Completing the given tasks in the given time and the quality of independent project work is also weighed.

    The 2 credit course consists of multiple teaching methods depending on the content e.g. case-study, activating lecture, group discussion, presentation, analysis assignment, peer learning, independent and group work, excursion, screening.

    Registration for courses is confirmed by attending the first class of the course. Students who drop out of the course without good reason will fail the course. At least 80% participation in face-to-face teaching is mandatory to complete the course. If, due to absences, the student does not achieve the learning outcomes defined in the course description, the remaining 20% may have to be compensated as determined by the responsible teachers of
    the course. All absences must be reported to the teachers in charge. The responsible teachers of the course will specify the necessary compensating assignments
