Content

Excercises with acrylic paints about colour perception and based on personal creative expression. Independent work under supervision of the teacher and discussions.

In the workshop, students will explore the essential questions of painting through various assignments, practice painting techniques, and deepen the development of their own artistic expression. The goal of the course is to create a personal relationship with painting, learn different ways to execute a painting from the initial idea to the finished artwork, and of course, have fun with painting!

Criteria of evaluation: the personal advancement of the student in the perception-based work and personal expression. The students ability to express and utilise what they've learned.

Minimum amount of participants is 8 students. Maximum amount of participants is 20 students.
Prioritization order for admission is based on the prioritization criteria established by Aalto ARTS:

After the registration has closed, SISU conducts a raffle to allocate all the seats while considering the possible prioritisation order stated above. If there are more registrants than available seats, ten (10) students from the remaining applicants are drawn and placed on a waiting list in numerical order. On the first day of the course, these students may check for available seats in case of no-shows. Any available seats are then filled in numerical order.
