LEARNING OUTCOMES
After the course, the student:
- is able to analyze process dynamics derived from physics-based modelling and experimental data
- understands basic process control approaches with a single controlled variable
- understands process dynamics and control also in the Laplace domain
- has knowledge on common instrumentation in the process industries
- understands the stability in both time and in the Laplace domain
- understands how to compensate disturbances
- understands how to implement feedforward, cascade and ratio control
