LEARNING OUTCOMES

After the course, students will know values on which the Finnish education system is based and are introduced to the higher education system. Students will be introduced to some of the pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning in Finnish higher education in order to better understand what studying at a Finnish university is like.

They will be able to apply different learning strategies in their studies and to assess the role of self-direction in higher education. They will recognise the characteristics of a diverse higher education community and get tools to facilitate their integration into the Finnish academic community.
