The Conference Volunteer Project teaches students how international academic conferences function and how they are organized. The project will start with a mandatory training session at the end of November, 2024. The students will then take part in an international business -related conference from December 12-15, 2024 in the role of volunteers. The students will receive insight into organizing conferences while at the same time being submerged in cutting-edge international business research.
Assessment Methods and Criteria
valid for whole curriculum period:
The completion of the project will entail being a volunteer during the conference (approximately two shifts over separate days) and submitting a 500 -word essay by the title “That’s interesting”. In this essay the students discuss what conference session they found most interesting during the conference, and why. This essay can also be tied to the experience of volunteering at a conference. The essay is graded pass/fail.
