  • standards

Standardization can be defined as policy making in order to make the everyday interaction between the representatives of business life, consumers and civil servants easier and more reliable (see more information about standards). State authorities commissions refer to some amount of standards, and these are compulsory to follow. Often, however, a standard is a mere recommendation. Standards contain a broad variety of information useful to your studies. They often present information about certain product types or about certain methods in a clear and concentrated form. The Finnish standardization union (SFS) is responsible for publishing Finnish standards. The newest SFS-standards, from which a major amount is published also in English, can be found through Aalto-Finna.
