Topic outline

  • Well done, you have obtained your results and now it is time to write.  You have probably not written many theses before, and you might not have read many either.  So it is probably a good idea to get some tips on how to do it.  The Section "Materials" contain some documentation about scientific writing.  There are multiple books, blogs, and webpages on the topic and don't hesitate to consult them too.

    Do you need more support?  Student can take the course LC-1320 Thesis Writing for Engineers (MSc), 3 credits, if needed.  The course is not compulsory but highly recommended.  The course doesn't fit in your schedule or perhaps you need more specific help, then you should consider the writing clinic.  This is a service offered by the Language Centre where you get 8 hours to plan, organise, write and revise your academic writing.  Check their myCourses page:

    And I am also there to help.  If you have a draft of a chapter (or of the thesis), you can submit it in your personal section, and I will give you feedback within a week.
